Natural Materials

The essence of all our Sivana mattresses lies in their inner filling. We select the highest quality natural materials, sourced from different countries around the world, to ensure that they perform their function perfectly.

Nature’s softest and most comfortable gift.

Cotton. India.

India has been producing some of the world’s finest cotton for thousands of years, with almost 6 million farmers. It is grown in specialised fields on fertile land. The main benefits of this magnificent natural fibre are its moisture absorption power, it is a powerful insulator, it allows air to circulate freely thanks to its breathability, and one of its main values is its thermoregulation, as body heat is not transmitted to the fibre to keep us cool and dry at all times.

One of the best materials in the world.

Horsehair. France.

Exclusive horsehair is used for everything from musical instruments to luxury bedding. The highest quality of this material is found in Europe, where it preserves its natural resilience, facilitating the free circulation of air. Its strandsfunction like millions of springs providing greater flexibility. It has tremendously effective properties that help us to improve our sleep. It helps to absorb the heat and humidity generated by our body. It accelerates the initial phase of sleep by helping the body to reach the ideal temperature more quickly.

An extraordinary performance material.

Wool. Australia and New Zealand.

A great miracle of nature. What is so special about the wool we use? It comes from sheep that are specifically cared for organically to produce the best GOTS-certified wool in the world and not for meat. This allows us to produce wonderfully soft and strong wool. The longer the fibre length, the stronger, the better the suspension, the greater the thermal insulation and the greater the moisture absorption. It is warm when you are cold and cool when you are hot, offering unparalleled natural rest.

Goodbye to static electricity.

Linen. Belgium.

Throughout the day our body accumulates static electricity, both generated by our own body and that to which we are exposed. The daily charge is equivalent to thousands of volts. No other natural material prevents static electricity
as well as flax because of its moisture. It is a durable and extremely flexible material. The more linen in the bed, the more effective its properties are in deflecting and preventing the formation of static electricity. Its numerous health benefits for improving sleep, such as generating positive energy, help us to have a more restful sleep.

We cannot make it more comfortable than it already is.

Latex. Germany.

What does 100% natural mean? Very simple, its composition is 100% natural latex, with no synthetic mixtures or percentages. For its vulcanisation, agents such as proteins and oils are needed, resulting in the most elastic natural material ever known. It adapts like no other to the shape of the body, relieving pressure areas in every posture. In addition, it is hypoallergenic and hyper- breathable, allowing air to circulate freely inside. As it is completely natural, it regulates temperature and does not give off any heat or odour. Sustainable and biodegradable comfort.

The most recyclable material on the planet.

Steel. Turkey.

Steel is the most recyclable material on the planet. Nothing is left to chance. The diameter of each spring, its thickness and height have been the basis of years of study to configure the perfect steel spring system. Powerful and silent. Their distribution allows us to isolate movements and react independently. We have used two systems with two firmnesses, medium/soft and medium/high, being able to customize each mattress. Also the number of springs, one of the keys being the search for the perfect balance between support and freedom.

A fibre with numerous health benefits.

Coconut. India.

Extracted from the husk, coconut is a humble material but with numerous benefits for the health of our rest. Thanks to coconut fibres our sleep will be more comfortable and healthy. It is very resistant, durable and flexible. In addition, it has insulating properties like few others, repelling all kinds of external agents due to its antibacterial power. As a natural material, it is a wonderful absorber of heat and humidity, which contributes to a pleasant night’s sleep.

Environmental benefits from responsible logging.

Wood. Spain.

Solid and resistant European solid pine wood. The foundation of a Sivana base comes from certified forests. Thanks to its strength and resistance we create stable frames synonymous with quality and safety. We source our pine wood from forests that have been selected in an environmentally responsible manner.
